The free version is enough for most disputes — you show the report, the other side backs down. PRO is for more serious situations: full-resolution photos are often required by insurers and courts, and Sectigo, a Qualified Trust Service Provider under the EU's eIDAS regulation, confirms the date and time of your photos (not us) — best done right after the session, since the stamp confirms the day it was submitted, not the date of earlier photos. If it ends up in court, you'll be glad you have PRO.

Questions before you download
Are HandProof photos admissible as evidence in court?
Photos with a date and an integrity seal can be treated as credible evidence — you can show them to a judge, a lawyer, or an insurer, and any of them can verify no one altered them. In PRO, where the date is also confirmed by Sectigo with an eIDAS-qualified time stamp, you have even stronger, legally-recognized grounds.
What is independent date confirmation?
Sectigo — a Qualified Trust Service Provider under the EU's eIDAS regulation, not HandProof — confirms the date and time of your report. That kind of qualified time stamp carries a legal presumption of date accuracy, recognized across the whole EU. Anyone can verify it independently, so no one can claim we issued ourselves a certificate. Do it right after the session — the stamp confirms the day the document was submitted, not the date of photos from weeks or months earlier.
Do I need to create an account?
No. You download the app and start documenting right away. We don't collect emails, there's no login, no newsletter.
What happens if I change phones?
In the PRO version you export all your documentation to a single file and load it on your new phone. Your evidence travels with you.
What's the difference between free and PRO?
Free is enough for most disputes: you take dated photos, generate a PDF report and a checklist. PRO adds a before/after comparison, independent date confirmation, full-resolution originals, and an export ready for a lawyer.
Does the app work without internet?
Yes. Taking photos and generating a report works fully offline. Internet is only needed for the one-time date confirmation in a PRO report.
How long are my photos stored?
As long as you want — because they're on your phone, not with us. We have no servers holding your photos, so nothing disappears and nothing leaks.
Does HandProof work for car rentals?
Yes. There is a dedicated scenario for cars — including unattended returns, when you drop keys in a box with no rental staff on site.
